Nagpur: With Sundays starting to become synonymous with Happy Streets, citizens are waiting for the next bash with bated breath. The Times of India and Maharashtra Times are organizing Happy Streets on every Sunday till July 10 on West High Court Road, between Law College Square and Laxmi Bhuvan Square.
Medical student Diya Pande said Happy Streets is a platform where people can have a joyful time with family and friends.
“We spend our precious time at the event and make new memories,” she said. Pande added, “Everything was perfectly managed the last time. Happy Streets should also conduct competitions like fancy dress to engage more and more people.”
Heaping praises on the event, student Chetana Mundhada said, “It will not be an exaggeration to call Happy Streets one of the most fabulous features of Nagpur. The event truly brings back happiness on my face on a lazy Sunday morning. Those moments when you get to meet your school buddies after a long time are quite special.”
The initiative invites people from all age groups to shake a leg in zumba and to participate in a number of games and activities. Senior citizen Tushar Deole said, “Happy Streets is a cheerful ride for people of all ages. I really enjoyed the games and the zumba session. Altogether, it was just perfect, though I would love to see a few food stalls too.”
Being a regular visitor, businessman Madan Kathoke has a pleasant Sunday morning with his friends. He said, “Zumba and dancing were exceptionally fun last time. We can't wait to participate in Happy Streets this Sunday.”
Interior designer Ragini Chimanpure said her experience at Happy Streets was wonderful. She added, “I always eagerly wait for such events but when it's Happy Streets, my eagerness is doubled. My most favourite game at Happy Streets is tug of war and I can't wait to be back and pick up the rope with my friends.”
